The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday congratulated the Super Eagles for defeating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday night to qualify for the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba , it said that in all their matches; from the group stage of the tournament to the semi-finals, the Super Eagles displayed the Nigerian resilient and fighting spirit for which the nation and compatriots are known all over the world.
He said that such never-say-die disposition and ultimate victory of the Super Eagles even in the face of challenging situation point to the fact that with collective will, the nation will overcome its present challenges.
The PDP prayed for the Super Eagles and charged the team to continue in the spirit and bring greater honour to the nation by lifting the coveted trophy at the finals on Sunday.
