Gombe Governor Constitutes Committee on Visitation Panels’ Reports

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has constituted a White Paper Drafting Committee on the reports submitted by the visitation panels to higher institutions in Gombe.

The committee, which consists of key government officials, is to ensure a comprehensive analysis of the recommendations put forward by the visitation panels.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the governor’s approval, announced the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice as Chairman, with the Commissioners for Education, Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Finance and Economic Development serving as members.  

Also, the chairpersons of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC) are among the committee members, alongside the permanent secretaries of the Bureau for Public Service Reforms and Special Services, Political and Chieftaincy, who will also serve as the secretary of the committee.

The visitation panels, earlier set up by the governor, had conducted their assessments and submitted comprehensive reports with far-reaching recommendations aimed at instituting positive reforms and driving progress in the education sector and overall effectiveness of higher institutions in the state in line with Inuwa Yahaya’s vision.  

Njodi reiterated the governor’s commitment to ensuring that the findings and recommendations of the visitation panels are meticulously and appropriately addressed towards implementing impactful reforms that will foster conducive academic environments.
