President Tinubu Appoints PSLSIA Chairman, Shamsuddeen Usman as MOFI Board Chair

In a significant move towards fostering innovation and leadership in managing Nigeria’s investments, President Bola Tinubu (GCFR) has appointed the Chairman of the Public Sector Leadership and Social Innovation Academy (PSLSIA), Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman (OFR, CON) as the Chairman of the Board for the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI). 

This was contained in a recent State House press release.

This decision underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to bringing visionary leadership to the forefront of public service.

The statement said, “Public Sector Leadership and Social Innovation Academy (PSLSIA) proudly announces this appointment, recognizing Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman’s wealth of experience and expertise in both finance and innovation.” 

Dr. Noel Akpata, the Founder of PSLSIA, extended heartfelt felicitations on this occasion and shared his optimism about the positive impact Dr. Usman will bring to MOFI.

Dr. Usman, a seasoned professional with a distinguished career, will play a pivotal role in steering MOFI towards new horizons. 

His leadership is expected to usher in an era of transformative policies and strategic initiatives, aligning with the government’s vision for a dynamic and innovative Nigeria.

Dr. Usman will chair the launch of the Public Sector Leadership and Social Innovation Academy in December 2023.

This initiative aims to cultivate leadership skills and foster innovation within the public sector. 

The academy’s launch event is set to feature HRH Muhammad Sanusi II as the special guest speaker, alongside other distinguished speakers/trainers sourced from various corners of the globe.

This initiative promises to be a melting pot of ideas, bringing together thought leaders and visionaries to redirect the future of public sector leadership and social innovation in Nigeria. 

Attendees can expect insightful trainings and a collaborative exchange of ideas that transcend geographical boundaries.
