Nigerian ace disc jockey, Aletor Jordan, popularly known as DJ Venum has been unveiled by organisers of ‘Jameson Distillery on Tour’ as one of the principal acts to light up the event. The show which holds on October 6, 2023 at the Fidelity Bank Ground, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos runs from 4pm in the evening till wee hours of next morning.
The disc jockey, who is a resident DJ at Bogobori House, Roma Lagos and Mainland Block Party has proven his mettle as a Disc Jockey of note and he is already sharing the spotlight with heavyweights in the music industry. According to him, what stands him apart from others is his signature style and his playlist while on the wheel of steel.
So, it is not surprising when his name springs up as one of the headliners of the Jameson Distillery on Tour. Apart from his prowess and dexterity on the wheel of steel, DJ Venum has been dropping DJ mixes under Interspace SoundSystem.
DJ Venum asserts his credential as an in-demand disc jockey last December in the music industry when he was booked back-to-back for events at different locations all over Lagos.
His schedule started on December 3rd up till 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th when he displayed his mastery of the wheel of steel at B.O.T.A in Ikoyi, Bogobiri in Lagos, Lagos CliqueParty in Lekki, Beach House Party and SOTO Gallery respectively.
On December 13th he continued his heavy itinerary at ‘Bimi Likes to Party’ in Victoria Island, followed by a bridal shower on the 14th also in Victoria Island, as well as Sweatbox Party and Roma Lagos on the 14th and 15th respectively.
On December 16th he is expected back at Roma Lagos, Lekki as well as the Sweatbox Party before heading for the Ojodu Carnival on the 17th.
In fact, between 17th and 18th he has five events, namely; the Ojodu Carnival, Junk Fest, Bunna’s Wedding After-Party, House Party in Lekki and Marino and Friends in Victoria Island.
His “Detty December” continues on December 23rd with Rave IV followed by the Island Block Party and Play-Off on Boxing Day in Victoria Island.
On December 27th, 28th and 31st he performed live at Good Vibes With Chappo, Outta X and Takwa Bay Lifestyle.
DJ Venum is also a sound engineer who started out as a rap artist. He gain popularity through Mainland Block Party By Alhaji Popping & Bizzle. He has played at several concerts and festivals.
