Bala Mohammed: We’ll Conduct Bauchi LG Polls in Next Six Months

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has assured the people that the Local Government Councils’ elections would be conducted in the next six months.
The governor gave the assurance while speaking during a meeting with former councillors, who served in the state, and held at the Government House, yesterday.


The meeting, according to the governor, became necessary to appreciate those of them who had served recently and performed well while serving, leading to the victory of the PDP in the 2023 general election.
He explained that he invited them for the meeting having dissolved them recently and considering the various positive roles they played in the provision of dividends of democracy to the people of the grassroots.


Mohammed also assured them that soon, all their entitlements would be paid after computation by the relevant agencies, telling them to gear up for the next council elections in the next six months.


He further told them that they had become part of his political structure that would continue to play pivotal role in his political journey under the aegis of  Kaura Movement, which is becoming a massive movement across the country.


Mohammed, who expressed his appreciation for the roles they played as his representatives at the grassroots while serving, assured them that some of them would get political appointments very soon while others might be lucky to be reelected during the elections.

Responding on behalf of the former Councillors in the 20 LGCs, former Councillor of Dan’iya Ward in Bauchi LGA, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Zango, commended the governor for finding them worthy to be invited for a meeting at the Government House.
