Beauty of African ladies at world of women NFT art project

Ayegbayo Damola was born in 1988 in Ejigbo, Osun State, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Obafemi Awolowo University, from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts.

Ayegbayo is the founder of ‘Victor Arts Enterprise’ and has over the years researched with the use of media like postal colors, oil colors, acrylics, and other mediums. He was inspired by his late grandfather who was a Painter, Sculptor and ceramist from a tender age. He is a Visual Artist with a demonstrated history of working in the arts and crafts industry, Skilled in Paintings and Drawings.

His works convey the power of the beauty of black African women, the reality of life and morals through color and black beautiful women faces. The name of his painting style is called ÀBÈFÉ meaning (pleaded to be loved) which is his native name

In 2023, He Appeared as the only African amidst 15 artists, whose works were featured at the world of women NFT project.

From available online sources this should be his second non-fungible token (NFT) art appearance, after the 2022 van gogh nft art project by Saatchi art.

The said, fast rising Nigerian contemporary visual artist, happen to be the only African among the 15 other artists around the world to feature in the NFT project, by world of women NFT and Saatchi art.

Chronicling his participation at the global art virtual project, revealed that he got invited to be featured in the project, given to the uniqueness of his craft and its relevance to the project.

All the 15 artists on the project were expected to present their artworks with a unique theme defining a beautiful world for women and nft lovers, using this to create an image and merges the original art into lovely NFTs.

The 15 artworks have their different features and interpretations, representing a unique word as described by the theme given to each artist to create.

These works were collected in NFTs and made specially available exclusively on very large nft platforms like world of women nfts and opensea.”

The world of women NFT project, which is described as one of the world’s leading and widest NFT platforms, is believed to aim at showcasing the beauty of art and women’s world and as well equip and improve artists’ knowledge on general ideas about Non Fungible Token (NFT) blockchain and how they can can also make an income from the crypto world.

In the work which Ayegbayo displayed and got audiences engaged with at virtual exhibition, the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, FineArt graduate, captured the beauty of a common African woman, its known heritage, and the naturally glowing aesthetics of her immediate habitat.

His work, titled culture 4, which was originally painted and later redesigned into an NFT speaks more about the beauty of the African black women and the reflections on their backgrounds and origin.

He depicted a beautiful African woman in his painting and created a lovely moving African village scene at the background to show how beautiful Africa as a continent looks. This in a bid to present his background as every artist does — by showcasing where they came; which is always represented in every of their artworks. There is no gainsaying that every artwork produced by an artist talks about his or her story and experiences.”
