About 100 Nigerians are expected to attend Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO), Turkey through the Association of Finished Textile Dealers of Lagos, (AFTDOFlagos), to exhibit most Nigerians’ trending apparel.

According to the president of AFTDOFlagos, Patrick Uzomah, who stated this at a press conference, the event will hold from August 24 to 26 and aims at restoring and displaying the rich apparel of the country.

“It is an opportunity for brands to meet collaborators, businesses will meet new partners, and sustainable products will meet quality, while fashion meets passion. It is an international event where design, trends, and brands are being presented and it hits all over the world. Turkey is the second biggest clothing market with class. It houses the biggest and most quality apparel in the world, knowing all these, why won’t Nigeria and Nigerians benefit from such. We need to be pushing the dying textile awareness in the country,” he noted.

Uzomah said that more Nigerians are expected to attend, adding, “Nigerians, who are not in fashion business could also attend through the association. They just need to visit https://aftdoflagos.com/

Uzomah said further that government needs to encourage the industry by tapping into the event. It is an event where machines used to produced these quality textiles would be on parade and for purchase”, he added.
