Savvy Media Africa, in collaboration with Google’s digital empowerment platform, Grow with Google, continues its training program which aims to train 300 Nigerian youths in various digital skill courses.

Held quarterly, the program continues in June after its initial launch in April. The first training that was held on April 6, 2022, emphasised  “How to Build a Brand and Sell Online”, with 50 participants in attendance.
Generally, each training session focuses on the acquisition of various digital skills such as ICT Proficiency; Information, data and media literacy etc., that will enable the participants to thrive in various aspects of their careers in today’s highly digitised world.
“We are extremely excited about this opportunity to partner with Google,” said Founder and CEO, Savvy Media Africa, Tofunmi Akinseye.
“Our mission at the agency has always been about empowering young people with the significant skills they need to thrive in the digital age that hinges on the proliferation of social media marketing, digital marketing, brand management and more. We’re so glad to see this partnership come to fruition,” she added.
Over the years, Savvy Media Africa has partnered with relevant organisations to empower young Nigerians with skills needed to thrive in the digital age. The company collaborated with Facebook in 2019 to deliver digital marketing training.
Describing the media outfit as a hub for Nigerian youths to exchange and celebrate youth-focused dialogue and ideas, Akinseye is fast moulding it into a safe space for the Nigerian youth with an interest in the digital space.
The program is expected to run through December 2022.
