Great Times for Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi

Great Times for Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi

The year 2021 has been awesome for many people. Besides the harrowing struggle to get out of the shadow of 2020 and the COVID-19 experience, many grew out of their skins and reached for the azure. The founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church C&S (Worldwide), Reverend Esther Ajayi, made the list of Nigerians who reached the heavens and made her home among the stars.

Based on the information from credible sources, including photos that were recently posted online, Ajayi has gotten herself a brand-new private jet. With this acquisition, the illustrious ‘Iya adura’ has not only placed a colourful lid on an otherwise bland year; she has also joined the Nigerian clergy class who must be breeding a Brobdingnagian bucks-bearing tree in their backyards.

Reacting to this achievement, social media in Nigeria is currently fired up and celebrating the prophetess. She has become the subject of a new variant of the old ‘where una dey find this love’ cliche. For Ajayi, the jolly query has been “where una dey find this money?” This is even more phenomenal considering that she only concluded a building massive, what, two months ago?

Many will recall that the assembly of the Love of Christ Generation Church in Nigeria and outside was all of a flutter in September when the most prestigious personalities joined them and their Reverend Mother in dedicating a massive and ultramodern cathedral. Erected on the waterfront of Victoria Island extension, the building is reported to have gobbled up N5 billion. Needless to say, it was a big day for everybody, especially members of the C&S group.

And now, there is an even bigger achievement, placing Ajayi on the same dais as the most noteworthy global-figure pastors of Nigerian origin.

One might argue that the acquisition of Ajayi’s private jet says something about the prestige of clergywomen all over the world, C&S congregations, philanthropists, etc. For all of these groups, Ajayi has broken through a bottleneck. Perhaps now that she has done it, others like her will bravely follow.
