Chinedu Okoli, better known by his stage name Flavour N’abania or simply Flavour owns his style of music and this has overtime seen him on top of his game. The highlife singer early this week released a video for his new song ‘Levels’. The song sees Flavour drop names and sing praises of notable socialites like E-money, Obi Cubana, and their ilk in Flavour’s usual delivery.

The visual, which followed barely hours after the audio version, shows some of Nollywood actors, like Kanayo O. Kanayo, Yul Edochie, Jerry Amilo, and Zubby Michael among other recognizable faces in a lavish display of culture, affluence tinged with much of style. An Odumeje character in the video would have completed the stars as those featured move in same circle with him as allies.

The video also sees a few other demonstrations like dance steps from the main and featured acts in their all-white costume. ‘Levels’ was sang by Flavour in his indigenous dialect, Igbo with a little bit of Pidgin English. Flavour via an Instagram post, has shared a video of the song being streamed on the billboard at Time Square with the caption: “NA WE DEY HERE Times Square, New York…”

Released on his 2Nite Music Group, the new upbeat jam, like a good number of his songs, has some trace of the ‘ogele’ rhythm which makes the song danceable and would readily get you on your feet just as it would get you smiling with the faces and gestures by these celebrities, mostly from the Eastern part of the country acting in the video. ‘Levels’ appears timely and has potential to trend following the yuletide season which is weeks away.

The video was shot and directed by Patrick Ellis in Los Angeles, California and Enugu. ‘Levels’ is Ijele of Africa’s latest release since releasing ‘Berna Reloaded’ which featured Congolese music veteran Fally Ipupa and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platinumz. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Flavour started his musical career as a drummer for his local church today; he is popularly known across Africa and the world for his hit song “Nwa Baby”.

For Flavour, his music videos are often characterized by Nollywood themes as ‘Golibe’, which he featured former most beautiful girl in Nigeria, now his second baby mama, Anna Ebiere Banner. Also the video for his song ‘Nnekata’, shot by filmmaker Tchidi Chikere has a Nollywood setting that tells a tale of youthful love in a serene Kingdom somewhere in the south east. Same as his “40years Lovestacle” a 14 minutes 42 seconds video production, directed by Clarence Peters. The short music film stars Rita Edochie, George Ezenwora and Ogechi Obilonu among other Nollywood actors alongside Flavour and songstress, Chidinma Ekile.

Well known for his ability to sing fluently in the Igbo language, Flavour, other than being a prolific figure in the music industry, also has starred in Nollywood movies in simple or supporting roles. Recall he officially made his debut in a Nollywood commercial titled, “Professor Johnbull”.
