Following allegation levelled against the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Denton Police Division, CSP Adegoke Akinlade, for detaining his lover, Jennifer Madueke, upon discovering that his service pistol was missing after an office sex with her, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered an unbiased investigation into the matter, just as he has redeployed the DPO away from the division.

In a statement yesterday, signed by the state’s police spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, CP Odumosu was quoted to have taken this action in the interest of fairness and justice.

Odumosu said that he directed the immediate redeployment of the officer in the eye of the storm so as to pave the way for diligent and unbiased investigation.

The statement further assured members of the public that “appropriate actions will be taken against anyone found culpable at the conclusion of the ongoing investigation such that at the end, justice would have been served.”
