In a bid to continually promote Nigerian artistes to the African continent and the rest of the world, Freeme Music, the label arm of Freeme Digital, recently signed up-and-coming Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Alabo Tuonims.

The singer who goes by the stage name Ninety described his style of music as afro-fusion. That way, he can experiment with sounds from different influences to create a seamless musical experience, a key reason he stands out in a sea of Afrobeats acts.

So far, the Port Harcourt born singer has worked closely with rising stars like Buju, Odunsi, and has shared the same stage performing alongside established artists like Magnito, and Zlatan to mention a few.

Ninety further described his emergence onto the music scene as timely, considering that afrobeats sounds account for a majority of music consumed by Gen Zs and millennials alike.

Speaking at the signing, CEO of Freeme Music, Michael Ugwu expressed optimism in the label’s decision to adopt Ninety.

Here, at Freeme Music, we are excited to have Ninety on board because we greatly believe in his talent and his vision. We are particularly excited about Ninety because of [his] peculiarity in the Nigerian Soundscape at the moment.”

He continued: “At Freeme Music, our mission is to promote and showcase African artists and their music to a global audience”

As Afrobeats has evolved to embody sound with varying styles and better production, Ninety is set on establishing himself as a musical force from Port Harcourt to the world.
