Tambuwal also pledged enhanced welfare for the corps members, stressing that the scheme has over the years played a vital role in enhancing national integration, social, cultural and physical development of the country and enjoined the corps members to sustain the tempo.

“At this critical time, I enjoin you to be vanguard of promoting national unity in line with the fundamental objectives of the scheme,” he stated.

The governor promised to prioritize their security and welfare irrespective of any part of the state they are posted to.

Earlier, the state coordinator, Nakamba, urged the corps members to be disciplined, saying camp life is not an easy one, but regimental.

He stated that NYSC would reward dedicated corps members at the end of their service year, adding that if they want to be a beneficiary they can start from the camp.
