President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday formally received in audience the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major-General Farouk Yahaya.
The Minister of Defence, Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi (rtd), led the new COAS, who was appointed to replace Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, who died in a plane crash in Kaduna last month, to the President at the State House, Abuja.
The brief ceremony was witnessed by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Leo Irabor, and other service chiefs.
