Constitution Review: Senate Holds Zonal Public Hearing May 26 – 27
  • Lagos, Bauchi, Owerri, nine other towns to host hearing

The Senate Committee on Constitution Review will commence zonal public hearings in 12 cities across the six geo-political zones from May 26 to 27, 2021.

The committee headed by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, will simultaneously hold two public hearings per geo-political zone across 12 state capitals.

The venues of the public hearings, THISDAY gathered, include Jos and Minna for North-central zone; Bauchi and Gombe for North-east and Kaduna and Sokoto will be the public hearing venues for North-west.

Other venues for the zonal public hearings are Enugu and Owerri for South-east; Lagos and Akure for South-west, while that of South-south will take place in Port Harcourt and Asaba.
