The Vice Chairman of the Gwagwalada Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Ebosetale David Aigbefoh had deadly encounter with suspected kidnappers at his home recently. Aigbefoh who survived the ordeal, narrated his harrowing experience when NBA National officers paid a visit to him last Thursday. He narrated how he was attacked by gun men in his house in Abuja. The Chairman of Gwagwalada Branch, Isah Aliyu, and the DPO of Zuba Police Station with his fellow officers, were present during the visit. The DPO assured the NBA Officers of the measures taken by the Police, to beef up security within the area that their colleague stays.
It is on record that Lawyers have, in recent times, become the target of violent criminals for inexplicable reasons. In the past few months over five Lawyers have been hacked down in their offices in various parts of the country, including Imo, Delta and Anambra States.
