President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over a quarterly National Security Council (NSC) meeting at the State House, Abuja.
Present at the meeting are Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Ministers of Defence, Maj. Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd.); Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama; Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi; and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd.)
Service chiefs in attendance at the meeting are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar; Inspector-General of Police (IG), Mohammed Adamu; Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rafa’i Abubakar; and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi.
