Following the dwindling resources and rising cost of governance, President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the review for implementation the White Paper on the Rationalisation of Government Parastatals and Agencies.
Speaking during a broadcast to mark the 2020 Democracy Day, the president, who eulogised the resilience of workers in Nigeria, stated that he would continue to give all the necessary support for the ongoing reforms designed to return discipline, integrity and patriotism as the hallmark of the public service.
According to him, “The Public Service of Nigeria remains the bedrock for the formulation and implementation of policies in the country. This accounts for why it continues to evolve especially as new socioeconomic challenges emerge for government to address.”
