The Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Alhaji Shu’abu Idris Lauje, and his daughter have been kidnapped by gunmen.
Sources stated that Lauje and his daughter were abducted about 1:30a.m. yesterday when the criminals invaded his residence at Kwanar Zango on Zaria-Kaduna expressway.
Spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, Muhammad Jalige, did not respond to telephone calls and text message sent to him on the issue.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State is facing serious security challenges with frequent cases of abductions and killings, especially in rural communities.
In the past two days, no fewer than 25 people have been killed in some communities in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state in attacks by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
