The leadership of the National Assembly is at the moment meeting with the management of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on the 2019 N242 billion election budget proposal presented to the National Assembly on July 17 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting holding in Senate Room 301, is being presided over by the Chairman of the National Assembly and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, and other principal officers of the Senate in attendance.
The management team of INEC is led by its Chairman, Prof Yakubu Mahmud.
The meeting earlier scheduled for Tuesday could not hold due to the invasion of National Assembly premises by operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS.
