The General Overseer of Love of Christ Generation Church, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi has described this year’s edition of ‘Celebrate the Comforter’ annual convention which was held at the United Palace, New York, United States of America as a success.

While briefing newsmen at a Press Conference which took place at the Sheraton Hotel and Suites, Ikeja, Rev. Mother Ajayi  who is also the Founder, Esther Ajayi Foundation said the 2018 edition which was graced by former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Ooni of Ife, HRM  Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi nd the Chairman of Ovation Media Group, Bashorun Dele Momodu recorded a massive turnout of faithful from both the Celestial Church of Christ and Cherubim and Seraphim.

According to her, ‘We prayed and fasted before the event and we knew it was going to be a success but I was overwhelmed with the turnout because the hall was filled and there was even an over flow of people.

‘Apart from members of both the Celestial Church of God and Cherubim Church , other Christians and non- Christians also came. What was one of my highest points of the event was that my beautician, Jenny , who is a North Korean received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I told my husband that this was similar to events recorded in the Act of Apostle in the Bible.

“I was fulfilled if even if Jenny was the only one that received the Holy Spirit, the program was therefore a success, because Angels rejoice in Heaven whenever one soul is won to Christ. ‘’

She added, ‘‘I had never witnessed such, and her testimony was that she did not know what came upon her. I am now giving her all the encouragement. That was not all, many other people also gave their lives in the course of the programme.’’

Speaking on the third edition of the event which is slated to take place next year in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, Rev. Mother Ajayi added that she was happy that her efforts to unite the Celestial Church of Christ and Cherubim and Seraphim Church had started yielding fruits

She said: “This is the first time the convention will be taking place in Nigeria and I can tell you that we will shake the country with the word of God and the country will never be the same again. Come and join us for an unforgettable day of life- changing prayer, preaching, praise and celebration in honour of God.’’

Also speaking at the event , the shepherd in charge of Genesis Model International , CCC,  Prophet Israel Ogundipe said the convention had proved that white garment churches were not fetish but believe in Jesus Christ.

He said, “The convention is an avenue to bridge the gap that exists in the body of Christ because other churches are always invited and carried along. Evangelist S.K. Abiara of Christ Apostolic Church, His Most Eminence Prophet (Dr.) Solomon Adegboyega Alao, Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa and some Bishops of other churches were present during the last edition. I must commend the efforts of Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi and I can tell you that she is one in a million.”

The highlight of the gathering was the conferment of honours on Reverend Mother Ajayi as the Grand Matron of the Nigerian Super Eagles Supporters Club by the club members and officials. According to the President of Supporters Club, Vincent Okumagba, the Club bestowed the honour on Rev. Mother Ajayi because of her exploits in Christendom and other areas of life especially her penchant for philanthropy.

He said, ‘We have watched her closely and we are certain that her personality would also rub off on our Club positively and we are glad that she gladly accepted to be our Grand Matron.’
