Former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu, has insisted that looters, who are bent on milking the country’s resources dry are those opposing President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term in office.

Kalu, who spoke weekend when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at Government house in Kano, reminded the opposition that Nigeria would resist further attempt to embezzle public funds.

The former Governor, who applauded Buhari’s anti-corruption fight and economic recovery, pledged his commitment to the All Progressives Congress victory in 2019.
Kalu also presented two plaques to Ganduje in recognition of his support for Buhari’s 2019 agenda and the governor’s effort to sustain peaceful coexistence in the state.

Responding, the governor noted that the President has never lost an election in Kano, and assured that in 2019 the state would redouble its votes to Buhari.

Ganduje reminded him that the state would take the advantage of its over 400 delegates, which is the highest, to massively return Buhari’s ticket during APC national convention.

On his recognition of peaceful atmosphere in Kano, Ganduje explained that the government has deployed necessary security measures to forestall cases of Boko Haram, kidnapping and crisis of herdsmen.

He also revealed that government appointed representatives of all ethnic groups in Kano as special assistants, which was responsible for the enduring peaceful atmosphere enjoyed in the state.
