United States Preaident Donald Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un began their historic summit in Singapore 9am local time on Tuesday with a handshake, the first ever encounter between a US president and North Korean leader.
The two leaders will discuss the denuclearisation of North Korea and are expected to emerge from the meeting with a lasting peace agreement that will ease tension on the Korean Peninsula.
