Nigerian Medical Doctor Shines in New York

It was pride for his parents and Nigeria at large as well as a dream come true for young Nigerian origin, Dr. Adekorewale Odulate-Williams who got admitted alongside others to the medical profession in the USA during the graduation ceremony of the prestigious Upstate Medical University, (State University of New York) Syracuse, New York on May 20th 2018.

Williams had earlier graduated from Tufts University, Boston Massachusetts, United States, Ivy League university. He will resume in the teaching hospital in Houston Texas immediately for his residency. The young, prize-winning Doctor, who got first class in Biology four years ago from the Tufts University, hails from Odulate and Giwa Sonoiki families in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Williams went to Caleb International College for his secondary education. He then went to college at Tufts University in Medford. A year before graduating, he took his Medical College Entrance Test (MCAT) exam. He graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to study at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse NY where he graduated in May 2018.

He is to start residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at University of Texas-Houston (UT- Houston). After completion of residency, he plans to specialise in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS).
