Miss Nigeria, SPAR Celebrate Children’s Day

Leading hypermarket, SPAR Nigeria recently entertained children and teens across its 12 stores nationwide with its annual kids Fun Day Fiesta held in commemoration of World Children’s Day. All the locations were agog with fanfare as the young ones were treated to fun activities such as games, freebies, Mascots, bouncing castles, face paints and other exciting activities. SPAR Ilupeju particularly welcomed the 41st Miss Nigeria, Peace Ehiguese and fast-rising actor, Yomi Gold. Both played host to children, parents and fans, engaging them in recreational activities such as the Balance Beam, Pin the tail on the donkey, Identify Parent, Hot Potato/Pass the parcel, Musical chairs, Snatch, Simon says, Egg and Spoon Race, Doughnut Eating, Suck ‘Á’ Way, Dress up Contest, Toss the coin etc. Skills development-based games for Children such as Smart Race, Medicine Ball Throw, Circuit Race, Colour Ball Race were not left out.

Being a family oriented hypermarket, we are keen on always celebrating Children’s Day because it gives us the privilege to appreciate and excite children. We are always happy to go the extra mile in making the day special and memorable because today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders and evidently, tomorrow’s shoppers.” John Goldsmith, SPAR Nigeria said.

The reigning Miss Nigeria said, “SPAR has continued to be significant in the lives of children and students especially in her host communities. The Fun Day has been so exciting for the children and their parents who also joined us in the fun. I am so proud of the indigenous spirit exuded by SPAR.” Gold on his part commended SPAR for the Fun Day celebrations, pledging his support to SPAR as he partied with the children. “For me, SPAR is a worthy example when it comes to engaging host communities”, he said.

The hypermarket remains poised to build and support its host communities. SPAR Nigeria has grown from one retail store to 12 major outlets nationwide.
