2018 WAFCON: Falcons Win in The Gambia

Nigeria’s Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons, were winners in Bakau wednesday, earning a 1-0 triumph over their Gambian counterparts in the first leg of a 2018 Women Africa Cup of Nations qualifying final round fixture at the Independence Stadium.

Amarachi Okoronkwo mined gold from a 23-yard shot that sailed into the net after 19 minutes and ensured the reigning champions have one leg in the 11th Women AFCON ahead of the return leg at the Agege Stadium, Lagos on Monday.
