SIFAX Haulage Boosts Operations with 20 New Trucks

In a bid to solidify, boost its operations and consolidate its position as a leader in the country’s logistics industry, SIFAX Haulage and Logistics Limited, one of the subsidiaries of SIFAX Group, has acquired 20 brand new trucks worth over N1 billion.

Speaking at the unveiling of the trucks in Lagos, General Manager, SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited, Mr. Adewale Adetayo, said the company’s decision to expand its fleet was sequel to its resolve to deliver better services to its clients and become a leader in the industry.

According to him, “The acquisition of these new trucks is a clear demonstration of the unfettered commitment of the management of SIFAX GROUP to the strategic goal of repositioning SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited for greater productivity. This commitment is part of the company-wide strategy of strengthening all the subsidiaries with the requisite capacity and capabilities to deliver on the corporate objective of delivering best value in all sectors we operate.

“With this acquisition, our transfer and delivery processes will be sharpened. We can now also favourably compete in the movement of deadweights. We are poised to change the haulage and logistics landscape in Nigeria with the expansion of our fleet. Our haulage team has been well prepared and equipped with various technical trainings to usher in the operations of these new trucks in addition to ones we have at hand.”

He added: “The trucks are European trucks with 420 horse power rating. 10 of them are ‘6 by 4’ double axles while the others 10 are triaxle flatbeds with 48 tonnage capacity. The brand new trucks will complement the 55 trucks already in use by the company; thereby bring the company’s fleet size to 75 trucks.”

Speaking earlier, Group Managing Director, SIFAX Group, Mr. John Jenkins, explained that with the unveiling of these new trucks, the company now lives up to the standard it is known for worldwide noting that the company’s business acumen is geared towards constantly meeting customer needs and adding value to all its businesses.
