Farmers, Fulani Herdsmen Clash Claims Two in Kebbi

Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State thursday visited Aljannare community in Bagudo Local Government Area of the state where farmers clashed with Fulani herdsmen which resulted to the death of two persons.

The governor, while in the village, addressed community leaders and after assessing the extent of damage following the clash, warned the people against any act capable of disrupting peace saying government would not condone any act of violence.

He promised that those involved in the violence would face the full wrath of the law.
Those who lost their lives included Muhammadu Maigandi and Aliyu Tela, both of middle age.

Bagudu offered financial assistance as well as clothing materials to the families of those killed in the clash.
According to him, a thorough investigation would be conducted to unravel the true cause of the clash and take concrete measures to prevent future occurrence.

On the entourage of the governor were the state police commissioner, Kabiru Ibrahim and Director, Department of State Service (DSS), Mohammed Kaumi, and other top government functionaries.
