Globacom Shows Commitment to Nigeria Immigration

Globacom has thrown its full weight behind the 2017 edition of the Comptroller General of Immigration Annual Conference which was concluded at the weekend in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Glo-sponsored conference was attended by important dignitaries including the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, his Deputy, Yetunde Onanuga, former president, Olusegun Obasanjo and the Chairman of the House Committee on Interior, Adams Jagaba, among other dignitaries.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede commended Globacom for supporting Nigeria Immigration service in its quest to strengthen the country’s internal security.

He stated that the support of Globacom alongside other corporate sponsors of the conference, has helped to facilitate a summit that will find a lasting solution to challenges confronting the service.
He called on the telecommunications company and other corporate entities in the country to continue to support such initiatives.

Globacom’ s acting Coordinator, Public Sector Sales, Mansur Opakunle, in a presentation at the conference, commended Nigeria Immigration Service for organising the conference, adding that the strategy session will help the service to proffer solutions to emerging challenges.
