For long, he and his siblings, among other family members, had looked forward to witnessing the day the patriarch of the family would glide into the octogenarian club. So, it was a prayer answered when their father turned 80 before their very eyes.
In celebration of that moment in the life of their loving dad, a birthday bash was organised at The Grandeur Place, Billingsway, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, where Pa Awode was celebrated to high heavens.
Indeed, it was obvious that no one wanted to be left out of the event put together to celebrate Pa Awode. While the event lasted, his children, grand-children and great-grand-children not only poured encomiums on the celebrator, but also shared with the audience some of the lessons they have left from him in their journeys in life.
With palpable joy, the Chemstar boss described Papa as a treasure.
