By Chiemelie Ezeobi

Another batch of 257 returnees from Libya were in the wee hours of Wednesday morning received in Lagos by officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

Amongst the returnees were four persons with different medical cases, which prompted the medical team on ground to attend to them first before whisking them away to the hospital.

The returnees were repatriated to the country with the assistance of IOM and European Union (EU), who provided logistics support.

The South-west Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu, who represented the director-general, Mr. Mustapha Maihajja, received the returnees on behalf of the federal government.

Yakubu appealed to the returnees that the federal government is working with state government to ensure that they are well taken care off.
