Adebayo, Kim, Oboh Shine at Lakowe Club Championship

After loosing 2016 title on 34th hole, Tunji Adebayo held his nerves to pick the 2017 Lakowe Club Championship on Sunday December 3rd in Lagos.

“it is a honour” he said at the closing ceremony, giving credit to the players in his flight who brought out the best in him.

“We had a great time and I am glad to have played with my group: I am happy to win this time” he added.

Adebayo shot 76, 79 on each days of his 36 holes play to edge Cobus Clasens by six strokes to runner up place. Douglas Koebbe finished in third place leaving 2016 winner Tim Ayomike in fifth place.

Sixteen year old Georgia Oboh carded the best score of the weekend to win the Lady’s title. She fired 75, 71 (146) four over par gross beating Fatumata Soukouna to the second place with Ndili Njide picking the third place.

Kim Tau Chul returned with the best score in the veteran category returning 156 gross score after 36holes for the event. He beat Tack Kim Byung and Voka Mukoro to second and third place respectively.

Golf Director of Lakowe Golf Estate, Elliot Campbell said his team and the management was delighted to host the player to the last club event for the golfing year.
