Edith Agoye

Shooting Stars have appointed former attacking midfielder, Edith Agoye as their new head coach after the sack of Fatai Amoo.

The Oluyole Warriors, as they are normally called, will prepare for life in the Nigerian National League next season with their former player now leading them as they try to bounce back to the Nigeria Professional Football League at the first time of asking.

Edith, 41, whose full names are Edith Olumide Alumeida Agoye, was assistant coach in 2013 and had three different stints with the Ibadan-based club between 1994–1995, making 42 appearances and scoring 21 goals and between 2002–2004 when he made 10 appearances and in 2008–2009 where he capped 31 appearances, scoring 10 goals.

He also featured for Enyimba FC and Julius Berger FC and was capped once by Nigeria.
