As Christians all over the world celebrate the Holy Michael Day, the Spiritual Father and chairman, the Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC) Worldwide, His Grace, Most Reverend Samuel Abidoye has stressed the need for all Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and forgiveness in order to overcome the current challenges confronting the nation.

According to him, “The Bible teaches us that righteousness exalts a nation. We must also be ready to imbibe the spirit of love and forgive one another to heal the wounds of the nation”.

While expressing optimism that challenges facing the country will soon be a thing of the past if Nigerians do not relent in prayers, hard work, diligence and patriotic contributions to nation-building.

Holy Michael Anniversary is celebrated every September 29. The anniversary of Archangel Michael is celebrated worldwide from Cherubim and Seraphim to Catholics and celebrates the archangel who fought against Satan and all his evil angels, defending all the friends of God.

Abidoye who is also referred to as Baba Aladura, in his message to Christians Friday, said Christ died on the cross of Calvary as a sacrificial lamb, for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind, and therefore noted that the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ was a clear indication of the love of God for mankind, and urged Christians to always emulate Jesus Christ and imbibe the virtues of love and forgiveness.

He also called on all Christians and Nigerians in general to reflect on the import of the celebration and imbibe the spirit of peace, tolerance, forgiveness, love and harmonious relationship among adherents of the various faiths in the country.
