A’Ibom Monarch Resumes as TROMPCOM Chairman

The Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs and Paramount Ruler of Ibeno Local Government Area, Owong Effiong Archianga, has officially assumed office as the National Chairman of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON).

 With the handing over of the group’s official documents and office paraphernalia to Archianga, it brings to rest all controversies that had surrounded the seat.

The immediate past National Chairman of the body,  Eze Akuwueze Raphael Ikegwuruka of Imo State, described Archianga as a worthy successor urging the incoming executive council to work hard in ensuring that the progress made is consolidated.

 He added that through the collaboration with agencies such as Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), development was fast-tracked in the Niger Delta, saying his leadership ensured the national chairman of TROMPCON becomes Board of Trustee member of the NDDC.

Praying for God’s guidance over the new leadership, he promised to, as a Life Patron to continue contributing his quota to the growth of the association.

Reacting, Archianga lauded the commitment and selfless sacrifices of his predecessor and his executive council for their achievements multiple challenges and economic recession.

Promising to create and sustain progressive policies, he sought the support of members as a tree cannot make a forest.

“No man has a monopoly of knowledge. I call on all past and serving executive members to help move TROMPCON to greater heights. I and my team shall tap from your rich experiences because experience is the best teacher.”

He promised to operate an all-inclusive. “Nevertheless, I promise to create and sustain open and inclusive administration policy during my tenure”, he said 

The monarch pledged that his paramount agenda is to protect the interest and promote the welfare of oil producing communities in the region.
