Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declaredÂ that his administrationÂ will continue to create more employment opportunities for the youths of the state.
Speaking after inspectingÂ the ongoing construction of the Garrison-Trans-Amadi-Elelenwo Road on Thursday, GovernorÂ Wike noted that his administration is investing in youth empowerment.
Hundreds of youths trooped out to celebrate the governorÂ as he supervised the road, which will create greater access to Trans-Amadi, the business hub of the state.
He said: â€œWe are investingÂ in infrastructure Â as a means of developingÂ the economy of theÂ state.Â We have also used the development of infrastructureÂ to employ many youths.
â€œWe will continue toÂ engage our youths. We will continueÂ to run a government that will respond to theÂ needs of the people.
The governor assuredÂ the youths that his administration will always cater for their needs, adding that he will continue toÂ interface with them.
He was accompaniedÂ on Thursdayâ€™s project inspection by Senator George Thompson Sekibo.
