Touched by the stress encountered by patients seeking treatment at the General Hospital, Igbokoda in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, oil giant and its partners, Chevron/NNPC, has donated a mobile X-ray machine to the medical facility located within its area of operation.
The machine, which was presented to the management of the hospital at an event witnessed by the representative of the Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), and some community leaders, brought relief to patients and residents of the community, who have to travel far for diagnosis of tuberculosis and other ailments.
Presenting the machine, the Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) General Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs Esimaje Brikinn said that the X-ray machine would improve the diagnosis and monitoring of tuberculosis especially among children.
