Honour for Kayode Ajulo

It was undoubtedly a day of glory recently for Dr. Kayode Ajulo when he was honoured as the Ondo State Advocate of the Year at a well- attended event tagged  “Ondo State Man of the Year Awards,”  amidst pomp and circumstance.

For the majority of the guests, the  cerebral Ajulo was most deserving of the honour.

Interestingly, Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu,  SAN, who was one of the award receipients,  spoke glowingly  of Ajulo,  for his advocacy and dedication to the people’s cause.

Indeed,  by all standards, Ajulo,  a legal practitioner of repute and conscientious activist has devoted his life to the service of humanity.

Ajulo,  who was raised by a bookseller father and a seamstress mother, had the rare privilege of meeting several intellectuals while growing up.

At a stage in his inspiring earthly sojourn,  he embraced activism,  based on personal conviction,  even as he developed an interest in politics

Today,  he runs a flourishing law firm, where he offers legal services to notable  individuals, private and public agencies.  Besides, he runs a non-governmental organisation, Egalitarian Mission Africa.

Though he quit his position as  National Secretary of Labour Party a year ago, there are insinuations that he is having a secret political romance with another political party in order to contest a senatorial seat to represent his people in Ondo North senatorial zone.

However, Ajulo has denied the rumour, saying his greatest passion now is his profession as well as  his campaign for social justice and equity.
