Keeping to its promise of giving thrill seekers something new to experience every quarter, the Hi Impact Planet amusement park in Ibafo, Ogun State, launched some water-based rides at the end of last month. The park which is on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, has continued to grow in leaps and bounds since opening in December 2015.
The aqua zone brings three new additions to the park; Freestyler, Flume Ride and Hip Pool. The Flume ride especially, elicited a lot of excitement. It can be best described as a water-based rollercoaster.
Speaking at a pre-launch event that included a festival of lights by Hi Impact’s parent company, Solutions Media, the Managing Director HI Impact, Mr Adeyeloye Lipede, reiterated the park’s desire to provide world class entertainment for its customers, especially the young ones.
“Our children’s day event which is a precursor to this dream of gigantic and limitless proportions helped us appreciate the immense value of creativity and play to a child’s development,” Lipede said. “And what better way to encourage the all-round development of the child than by creating a platform where children and their parents can bond in an atmosphere of excitement and fun?”
According to Lipede, Hi-impact is Nigeria’s version of Disney and Euro Park but with an African touch. He noted that the health and safety of customers were paramount to the park, adding that the park had three United Kingdom-trained health and safety staff in case of emergencies.
Built on an expanse of 46 acres, facilities at Hi Impact include a clinic, banking services, food courts, and a multi-purpose hall. There are apartments in different configurations (single, studio, two-room and three-room) which accommodates up to 200.
Besides the newly unveiled aqua zone, other options for fun lovers include a wide range of thrilling outdoor rides and exciting indoor games suitable for children, teenagers and families to enjoy. They include bumper cars, a haunted house, Go-Karts and a 40-metre high Ferris Wheel among many more.
