Real Strikers Security Services Limited has been adjudged the most outstanding private guards security company of the year in Nigeria.
 The firm was specially recognised for its contributions to the security sector at the National Security Award put together by the Senate Committee on Police Affairs in collaboration with Nigeria Media Links.
 According to the organisers of the programme, the award was conferred in recognition of the company’s commitment to quality service and effective security vigilance in Nigeria.
 Speaking on the feat, Managing Director of the company, Joseph Ameh, commended the organisers, adding that the organisation would strive to improve on the excellence and professionalism feature for which it was known.
 On the way forward to security challenges in the country, Ameh advised government to take advantage of the over 2000 private security outfits in the country through strategic partnership.
 “The private security sector is another fertile resource in the country which if properly harnessed, would to a large extent minimise crime rate and enhance security, particularly through information with public security agencies.
 “Contemporary discourse on the state and security has shifted from the traditional assumption that security is an exclusive responsibility of the state. The prevailing trend is the increasing role of private security outfits as a dominant sector,†he said.
 He maintained that security status in Nigeria demands that government should keep stakeholders on their toes to find solutions that would restore peace and assure all the citizens of their safety to lives and property.
 Congratulating the company , the Nigerian Police  Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood tasked the firm to keep the flag flying high, affirming that the private security sector remained key in combating crime in the country.
