Bauchi Gov Assures Women of His Administration's Support

Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, has assured women in the state that the policies of his administration will continue to be tailored towards making life meaningful for the people and better than he met it in spite of the crunching economic situation in the country.

Governor Abubakar gave the assurance Tuesday during the celebration of the administration’s two years in office organised for women in the state by the governor’s wife, Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar.

The governor reiterated his appreciation to the women for their prayers, support and votes that gave the All Progressives Congress (APC) victory at all levels, pointing out that now was “payback time” for the contribution made by the women to the change mantra of the present administration.

Speaking earlier, Hajiya Hadiza, who thanked women in Bauchi State for “their contributions in actualising the APC administration at various levels” in the last national elections, said with the achievements recorded, the two years’ anniversary was worth celebrating in the state.

While assuring the women and youths of her support and that of her husband’s administration in executing policies and programmes that touch the life of the common man, she urged the women as parents to ensure that their children and wards are educated and trained in skills and entrepreneurship “so as to become employers of labour”.
