Kaduna Electric Distribution Company has entered into partnership with First City Monument Bank (FCMB) to ease payment of bills by its customers.
The partnership which commenced in Kaduna will be eventually rolled out in other franchise states of the company – Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi.
The company’s Head, Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, in a statement in Kaduna explained that following the partnership, FCMB collection agents will be deployed to different locations within Kaduna to collect payments for electricity bills from customers and issue them with receipts.
The statement quoted the Chief Marketing and Customer Services Officer of the company, Murtala Bello, as saying that the decision to partner with the bank was in order to enhance better efficiency in the company’s collection process to avoid undue revenue losses.
The statement explained further that the ever growing population of electricity consumers in Kaduna state and the need to adequately account for the energy consumed by all electricity users also helped was part of the reasons to engage the bank and deploy more collection agents to complement staff of Kaduna Electric.
