Airtel Fetes Subscribers with SmartConnect 2.0

Leadingtelecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, has launched the SmartConnect 2.0, a new product which offers prepaid customers six times the value of every recharge.

According to Airtel, SmartConnect 2.0 is specially designed to give more value as well as enrich the lives of telecoms consumers, and also empower them to succeed in their personal and professional endeavours

This new offering, according to Airtel at the launching of the product which took place in Lagos yesterday, is specially created for new prepaid customers to the Airtel network.

In his remark on SmartConnect 2.0, Chief Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Ahmed Mokhles, said the product reaffirms Airtel’s commitment to offer a unique telecommunications experience and amazing opportunities to new customers on the network. He noted customers can enjoy extensive hours of calls and browsing on the new package.

Mokhles further explained that, as the name implies, SmartConnect 2.0 gives smart connectivity and choice to customers on the network to keep everyone connected to their families, friends and loved ones.

According to him, “Any subscriber who desires to enjoy the benefits of the newly introduced package will need to buy a new Airtel SIM card, register it and recharge to enjoy six times the value of every recharge. For instance, when a new customer recharges N100, he/she gets N600 total airtime value instantly, while a recharge of N1000 gives N6000 instant total airtime value.

“For a N100 recharge, customers get N100 in their main account, an additional bonusN250 for calls to all networks and N250 or 50 MB data while the N1000 recharge gives customers N1, 000 in the main account N2,500 for calls to all networks and N2500 or 500 MB data.

He added that: “The emphasis here is that there is nothing you have to do extra to get the value of the recharge. There are no restrictions on the bonus. The bonus is broken into on and off net call. The bonus can be used for all net and off calls in bouquet, if you want to ensure that the bonus does not expire that you recharge before it finishes the seven finishes. It can be used for on and off net calls.

“Customers are expected to recharge their lines by dialing *126*pin#. The airtime value in the customer’s main airtime has no validity expiration; while bonuses have seven day validity.
Customers can continuously roll over their bonuses if they their lines within the seven-day validity of their existing bonus.
