The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara on Wednesday announced the removal of Hon. Jibrin Abdulmumin as Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation.
Abdulmumim is considered one of Dogara’s close allies.
Dogara has been under pressure to remove Abdulmumim, due to the controversy over the 2016 budget, following allegations that he unilaterally allocated projects worth N4.1 billion to his constitunecy, Kiru/Bebeji Federal constituency in Kano state.
He was replaced with Hon.Mustapha Bala Dawaki, who is also from Kano state, representing Dawakin Kudu/Warawa federal constituency.
