MVP Football Quiz Kicks Off in Lagos

The Pilot edition of the MVP football quiz, a new weekly sports quiz has kicked off recently in Lagos.

The quiz which is aimed at bringing football lovers together would help showcase their talents and knowledge of the game.

According to the organisers,“the competition cuts across all age brackets from 18-70.”

Speaking during the competition, the organiser and the Managing Director of Indices Production, Mr. Remi Towobola, stated that with this phase, they would be able to understand what to do in the competition proper, adding that there were no cash prizes for the competition, but “we are looking at taking the winners to football competitions around the world.”

He added that at present, they were aiming at taking the winners to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil which would give them opportunity to watch football matches, maybe the finals of the football event, adding, “it could also be any other football event around the world at a particular period of time.

“In picking the winners they have to go through different stages before they qualify for any of the prizes. Some sponsors have shown interests and we are still talking with them. We intend to go around different states and organise competitions.”  

The weekly winners will participate in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final stage of the competition. There would be group and individual winners.

Names of winners of the MVP Quiz are: Tunde Adigun who came first, second placed person, Kehinde Kehinde, while Rogba Ibidapo came third.
