- As kidnappers demand N20 million to free abducted member

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Cross River State has raised the alarm over what it described as the deliberate targeting of his members by kidnappers.
Raising the alarm in Calabar on Monday through a press statement, the PFN said the latest victim is a member of the body, Elder Patrick Obasse, was kidnapped in Calabar on Sunday.
The statement issued by the state Chairman of the PFN,Pastor Lawrence Ekwok,read as follows:”I can now confirm that a member of pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, CRS Brother, Patrick Obasse, of Foursquare Gospel Church was kidnapped yesterday (Sunday) morning on his way to the church. He happens to be the District Convocation Committee chairman of his church for 2016.
“The kidnappers are asking for 20m Naira ransom. This is a kidnap too many for my members. From every indication it appears that PFN members have become the target of kidnappers in Cross River State.
“We refuse to be intimated. That is why we have fixed August 1, 2016 for fasting and prayer to cry to our God from where cometh our help. “
