Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has enjoined Muslims to continue to exemplify the worthy life of Prophet Muhammad and extend it to adherents of the different religions by continuing to live in peace and harmony.

He stated this on Wednesday in his sallah message delivered at the Ilorin Central Eid praying ground shortly after the two rakats prayer which was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere.

He also admonished religious leaders to discharge their obligations in line with the dictates of Allah and his Prophet in order to inject the message of unity, peace and harmony into the society.

While felicitating with the entire Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the month of Ramadan, Sulu-Gambari urged residents to continue to live in peace and always shun violence even as he warned miscreants to have a re-think for the sake of the spirit of brotherhood binding everyone together.

In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Soliu, implored Muslims to remember to complete the Ramadan fasting with the discharge of the responsibility of giving out Zakatul Fitri to the poor.
