THISDAY gathered that the incident, which also led to injuries by many others occurred during the celebration organised by some youths on Kogbona Street in the city.

The incident, which led to the death of the two persons, was the climax of an earlier confrontation between two rival groups but which was resolved by the intervention of some elders in the area.

Prior to the outbreak of the fight, the youths, who adorned branded vests were said to be in a joyous mood as they danced to music from a band mounted on a truck before the procession was intercepted at a junction by some boys suspected to be cultists.
