An Asaba-based unemployed middle aged man has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly having canal knowledge of his twin teenage daughters.

The new state commissioner of police, Mr Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim, who paraded the suspect in Asaba, claimed that Mr Isiaka Kareem, a native of Abeokuta in Ogun State, had forcible sexual intercourse with his twin daughters aged fourteen years.

The man had allegedly been indulging in the act for over five years, THISDAY learnt.

Although the accused man claimed that he was framed up particularly because he was considered too strict with the children who he did not give room to be wayward, the police commissioner said that the suspect had confessed to the crime.

Ibrahim said that man “blamed the devil” for pushing him into committing the unacceptable act during the confession he willingly made to the police.

The Delta State police boss while parading the alleged randy father along with other criminal suspects in Asaba, disclosed that the 14-year old twins (names withheld) reported at police A Division in Asaba that their father had been assaulting them sexually since 2010 and that all efforts made by them to make him stop his evil act proved abortive.

However, Mr Kareem claimed that he never sexually assaulted his daughters.

He added another twist to the story when revealed that his twin daughters started messing up with men after they were allegedly “raped by the son of a native doctor”.

He further blamed the wife, who he said abandoned their house because he lost his job, for instigating the daughters to frame him up with the incest story.

According to the accused, the final straw came when he threatened to take the two girls to the village as the twins allegedly connived to cook up the fake story they reported to the police at Asaba.

In another development, the police commissioner also paraded one Ofili Eze for impersonating a policeman in Asaba and engaging in forging of a medical report for someone else.
