Ibrahim Shuaibu in Kano
No fewer than 10 vehicles were destroyed when a loaded fuel tanker caught fire and exploded at Dakatsalle village in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano state on Sunday night.
An eye witness told reporters in Kano on Monday that the fire, which started about 7.30pm, also destroyed several shops in the village
According to the witness, the explosion happened shortly after the driver of the vehicle parked at the village to break his Ramadan fast.
It was gathered that two other fuel tankers loaded with 33,000 litres of fuel each were among the 10 vehicles affected by the inferno.
